articol voi scrie despre un cimitir care se presupune a fi blestemat.
Încă din epoca victoriană,
se întinde pe colina de la Hampstead Hill, la nord de Londra, unul dintre cele
mai frumoase şi tulburătoare cimitire din Europa. Veritabilă necropolă,
cimitirul este plin de alei mărginite de numeroase morminte baroce şi gotice
cât şi de o alee egipteană. Dar locul cel mai apăsător şi cel mai sumbru din
acest adevărat oraş, este cu siguranţă aleea rezervată asasinilor de orice fel.
Legenda afirmă că în sec.
XVIII, un sicriu provenit din Turcia şi conţinând corpul unui vampir a fost
depus într-o capelă situată la Highgate, apoi a fost înhumat. Dar cu siguranţă
Bram Stoker a făcut celebru acest cimitir. Fiind membru al Golden Gate şi
iniţiat în ritualuri magice, a fost marcat de tot ceea ce ţine de nemurire. El
l-a instalat pe Contele Dracula la Carfax, care este situată la Hamstead Hill,
de asemenea în cimitirul unde se odihneşte Lucie Westenra. În aceeaşi epocă, el
s-a împrietenit cu pictorul şi poetul Dante Gabriel Rosetti, cel care era
înnebunit de durere după moartea soţiei sale Elizabeth Sidal. Aceasta decedase
în urmă cu 7 ani din cauza unei supradoze de laudanum. La sfaturile lui Stoker,
Rosetti s-a dus la Highgate şi a spart mormântul unde se afla soţia sa. El a
avut surpriza de a o descoperi pe tânăra femeie întinsă şi intactă având toate
aparenţele vieţii. Era roşie în obraji, părul îi strălucea, de parcă tocmai se
pusese de curând acolo. De atunci, pentru locuitorii satului apropiat, Highgate
era considerat oraşul vampirului. Iar apariţiile lui, se zice, erau foarte
frecvente.
În 1970, a apărut o
entitate între morminte de mai multe ori înspăimântând populaţia. Două tinere
care se întorceau acasă au făcut un drum prin cimitir au fost urmărite de o
umbră neagră. Una dintre ele s-a îmbolnăvit foarte rău şi a făcut apoi
numeroase crize de somnambulism care ani la rând o atrăgea către unul din
mormintele din cimitir. Cazul s-a adâncit atunci când s-au descoperit zeci de
cadavre de animale golite de sângele lor. Mai târziu, un membru al British
Occult Society numit David Farrant, a raportat că reverendul Lord Manchester
executa o şedinţă de exorcism în interiorul unui cavou suspect. În acest cavou
s-a descoperit un corp care nu părea nici mort, nici viu. Lordul a declarat că
nu a încălcat legea şi că a pus doar nişte săculeţi cu usturoi şi o cruce pe
capacul unui sicriu. La scurt timp, muncitorii au cimentat intrarea mormântului
dar povestea nu s-a terminat aici…
În 1974, inima cartierului Highgate, apropiat de cimitir, a fost
supusă unor fenomene stranii. O clădire în stil gotic, situată la intersecţia
dintre Crescent road şi Avenue Road (astăzi distrusă) era reputată de ani buni
de a fi bântuită. Manchester a executat săpături minuţioase şi a
descoperit în pivniţă sicriul pe care îl investigase cu patru ani, înainte. El
şi complicii săi au scos capacul şi au bătut un ţăruş în corp, apoi i-au dat
foc. Cazul era terminat… Dar în 1978, poliţia a aflat de la mai multe persoane
cine pătrunsese în cimitirul de la Highgate şi forţase cavoul vampirului.
Manchaster a afirmat atunci că dorise să-l ucidă! Alţi martori atestă faptul că
Prinţul Nopţii se află încă la Highgate. Misterul rămâne…
De atunci, cimitirul a devenit un loc de adunare pentru
ceremonii nocturne de magie neagră, mormintele sunt profanate şi cadavrele sunt
scoase din sicrie. Autorităţile au decis de a închide partea sa de nord, însă
poate fi totuşi vizitată numai în compania unui ghid.
Parerea mea este ca, pe baza intamplarilor petrecute aici, vampirii
chiar exista sau au existat.

In this article I will

Legend
States that in the 18th century, a coffin, originating in Turkey and containing

accomplices removed the lid and knocked a peg in the body, then set fire to
him. The case was finished ... But in 1978, police learned from several people

spent here, vampires exist or have existed.
