Project description

"Teenagers in the 21st century" project is a teaching/learning experiment, meant to help students learn English in a more relaxed and funny way.

The project is started in the school year 2017-2018 by the students from grades 8C and 7A from Scoala Gimnaziala "Vasile Alecsandri" from Baia Mare, Romania, coordinated by their teacher of English, Daniela B. Buda.
In the era of international communication, the students involved will acquire new skills and abilities that will help them find a good job and improve the quality of their life.

The main aims (objectives) of the project are:

The work plan:
The work on the project starts in January 2018 and will continue at least for the current school year.
The students will work on the project during the English classes and (if they want) also after school.
The students from the two classes will work in small teams or individually, according to the tasks they choose.
One team will coordinate the blog ( They will upload the articles, video clips, etc. on the blog) and do the proofreading of the materials to be posted, so no errors may appear in the articles.
One team will write models of questionnaires to be used to interview teenagers from Romania and other countries.
All students will write at least 3 articles/ interviews/ etc. to be published on the blog.
All articles will be written in Romanian and English. If the video clips are shot in Romanian, they will be subtitled in English.
If we get articles/ videos in English from teenagers from other countries, they can be translated into Romanian.
The translations will be made by the students, with the support of their English teacher.
All the articles posted will be proofread by the team of proofreaders.
All the articles will be signed by their authors.
In case they use information or photos taken from books or online websites, these will be mentioned in the Bibliography at the end of the articles.
